Medicine Creek Treaty to be signed
Issac Stevens visited again today to see how far we are in deciding, and we were curious about the articles of agreement. We asked many questions, and he emphasized on the fact that we really have no option, otherwise they will bring out their weapons, and people could get badly hurt and die. Chief Bidziil will sign the treaty, because he is concerned for the safety of our tribe. We need to be gone within one year. Children will go to their schools until they are 20 years old, and be trained in their ways of life. If they sign, all the other tribes will be there too. They want this land because: It’s near the water, so that they can dock and bring in ships to trade with other places.
Governor Issac Steven’s brought a treaty to our village
They would like us to move to a reservation. We have one year to move to this land.
Our children will go to their schools..
They can have us move again, if they choose.
Ideas please????
We have a plan…we’re going to catch a leprechaun :)
Just maybe we will catch one…perhaps.
New Chief elected, and settlement expanding rapidly
What qualities did you feel were important in selecting our new chief? ( Chief Bidziil aka Huck)
How do you feel about the expanding settlement and the changes to our forest?
What should we do now?
Measles outbreak in the new settlement…
A settler came by and asked for our help…our village was most receptive to helping. Chief Chayton, is a shaman and said he would try to care for the baby. The WOLF clan had space for them to stay over a few days, to rest and recover. In time the baby was better and they returned to their settlement.
Settlers arrived in our village…
They met with Chief Chayton and told him, they are going to cut down the tress in the forests, and native people are to…
STAY OUT OF THE FOREST!!!!

Mysterious object at sea
Today the village Chief Chayton, noticed that there is a interesting object out very far in the ocean. The family leaders, Bidziil, Bidziil, and Peytah, along with Chayton, had a village meeting and decided that tomorrow, if the object gets any closer, they will take the Beaver family’s ocean canoe and go to investigate the interesting object.
What do you think the object is?
